MAKE ALL CHILDREN SMILE IN ZIMBABWE

is a partnership between a Shona woman, Tecla Mugomba, and a Durango woman, Judy Duke. By selling unique African crafts and returning the proceeds to Zimbabwe, we are able to support 35 orphans and widows. The money is used for food, clothing, school fees, and medicines, including anti-retrovirals.

Zimbabwe is on the verge of collapse. The unemployment rate is
80%, the inflation rate is more than 2000%, and one in five children has lost a parent to AIDS.

In the village, where the poorest of the poor live, children are fainting from hunger. We have started a lunch program, which provides 300 children with corn meal porridge.

School fees are $2 a term, and there are three terms a year.  Many children cannot afford this small amount so they are unable to attend school. Thus, they are not able to receive this one meal a day. We hope to assure that all children in the village attend school, as well as supply them with notebooks and pencils.

For $300 a month we can feed 300 children one meal a day.
For approximately $10, we can keep a child in school for a year.

100% of every penny earned or donated is returned to Zimbabwe.
We are in the process of forming a 501(c) 3 corporation
so all donations will be tax-deductible.
